Attention to all of God's children! With the shape this world is in today and her values going down hill. With the normal problems of everyday life such as bills, high gas prices, high food prices, lack of employment and etc. Know this my children "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath herself ready." Rev.19:7 So in bad times, be glad and rejoice! Also give God honour! The marriage is between the Lamb (Jesus) and his wife (The Church-you the saints.) who has made herself ready (John 3:16) I love you all in christ. I love Jesus. Don't give up we are almost home (Heaven)

Update from last night's service.

Had a great service last night at Gloryland Gospel Church. I thank everyone at the church for the invite to preach there last night. We had some folks from Bro. Danny Smalling's Church (Calvary Mission Pentecostal Church), 15 year old Evangelist Coe Campbell was there and others. Bro. Byran Brown is doing a wonderful job at the church. My parents James and Lois Turner rode with me along with special friends of mine Bro Jay Phelps (Evangelist) and his wife Sis. May Phelps. Had such a sweet spirit, God is good. I love you Jesus!

Today's service at Church

Had a great service today at Plano Chapel Holiness Church. Pastor Kevin preach from John 3:15-18 "God Gave The Greatest Gift" Bro. Kevin talked about how the Jews rejected him. How Zacchaeus had a desire to see Jesus. How there was a cost but it wasn't cheap, it was the best "Jesus". The world knows about God, but not much about Jesus. How Jesus told Zacchaeus to come down from that tree and... Jesus told him he would be in his house (gave him the Joy). As Jesus went to Zacchaeus' house he will go everywhere with you. How Martha open the door to let Jesus in and made him welcome in her home but Mary opened her heart to Jesus and fell to his feet. You too can have this greatest gift. Is he knocking on your hearts door? How many homes have religious figures in the house like, religious type pictures, family bibles, and etc. They have him as a figure only! not in their heart. You could have died of an overdose, car wreck, over seas in a war and etc, But he opened the door of your heart. What a great service and what a message. God gave The Gretest Gift of All.

A Message

We may not be back on the site until after Christmas day and with that being said, I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.  May God be with you and yours!  May you remember the reason for the season.  Happy Birthday Jesus! From Evangelist Odell Turner and Family.

God gave us a blessing.

Back on October 18, I was rear end at 55 to 60 M.P.H. by a young man.  It totaled my van a 2008 Chevy Uplander with 41,000 miles.  I had only been back in church for only a couple of weeks at this time.  I prayed and ask God, why me? Why my van?  However, I never got an answer.  But today 12-23-11 God blessed me with a newer car.  I went to the Toyota dealer and got a 2009 Toyota Camry LE with only 37,000 miles. My van was very hard on gas and this car is suppose to be great on gas.  With me now go to preach at different churches, going to hospital's and to funeral homes the gas saver is great.  I now know what God had in his plan and I came out better off.  Thanks to God and all glory to him.  You simply can not out do God.

Good Morning Friends! 12-23-11

It's a great morning.  I have many things on my plate for today.  I know that God will be with me all the way.  I pray that you too have him with you today and everyday.  As Christmas day draws near we should give a special thanks to God for the greatest gift ever, his son Jesus.  Have a blessed day!

Just happy that I can now do God's work.

Last couple of days have been overwhelming. Yesterday at the hospital to visit with Sister Betty Fishburn and her family. Then to church at Plano Chapel that night. At the funeral home for a funeral today 1:00, then at another funeral home at 4:00 p.m. for another friend. Bro Kevin Hinton, my pastor ministered at the first funeral and did a great job. Pray for all these families that God will supply peace during these times of sorrow. Also remember Sister Betty Fishburn in your prayers.

What does Christmas mean to you?

Good morning friends.  I'm not much of a writer however I'm going to try to write this story.  What does Christmas mean to you?  We all have experienced many different things during the Christmas season. Some things good and others not so good.  I will try to bring out some things most all of us go through. And some that we only read or hear about.

What does Christmas mean to you?  First lets start by looking at what America has put in place.  We no longer can get into the giving mood at Thanksgiving because society has over whelmed us with Christmas before Thanksgiving is over or in some case before Thanksgiving.  Why is this? Because the country is out for that all mighty dollar.  And even more so in 2011 because of the financial crunch that America is in today. By the way that is another story.  I feel I must say this about the financial problem of our great country.  In the beginning our country was founded on Godly believes and values.  However today she has turned her back on God through out leaders in Washington and on the local level.  Therefore our great country is swiftly falling apart.  Fulfilling the word of God for the last hours. Back to to the Christmas story.

Christmas has been replaced by the word "Xmas", "Holiday" and more.  Why? because satin does not want Christ in anything we do.  Not even in the word, Christmas.  Bigger cities such as New York have ban the word Christmas.  Replacing "Merry Christmas with "Happy Holiday" and so on.  In some cases negativity scenes have been taking down due to a politician or town leader.  All in the name of political correctness.  Selling their soul for a vote.

Standing in these huge lines to check out all the stores.  Going to the super SALES! Buying for loved ones who have most everything.  Buying gas at it's high price per gallon to go shopping.  All of these and more cause stress this time of year. Suicide is growing each year. Suicide was the eleventh leading cause of death for all ages.  More than 33,000 suicides occurred in the U.S. This is the equivalent of 91 suicides per day; one suicide every 16 minutes or 10.95 suicides per 100,000 population. Why? because we have became so commercialized and Christ has been left out.  Only peace comes from God through Christ.  In the Bible the book of Luke we read were the birth of Christ is talked about starting with Chapter 2.  In Luke Chapter 2 verse 14 it reads, " Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." 

The Christmas tree.  Most all of us have had a Christmas tree in our homes.  I'm not saying anything wrong with a Christmas tree as long as you don't worship it as a God.  However, we should not forget about the real tree of life.  In 1 Peter chapter 2 verse 24 it reads, " Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we , being died to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."

The historic record of the birth of Christ can be found in Matthew 1:18-25 and Luke 2:1-20.
Unlike any other baby, the one born that night in Bethleham was unique in all of history. He was not created by a human Father and Mother. He had a heavenly pre-existence (John 1:1-3, 14). He is God, the Son—Creator of the universe (Philippians 2:5-11). This is why Christmas is called the incarnation, a word which means “in the flesh.” In the birth of Jesus, the eternal, all-powerful and all-knowing Creator came to earth in the flesh.
Why would God do such a thing? Why would he come as a baby, instead of appearing in power and majesty? Why make himself a true man and live among us, when he knew full well how terribly he would be treated?
It was LOVE! It was necessary, if you are to be saved!

Update on the service this morning.

What a great spririt at Plano Chapel this morning. Had a great Sunday School class taught by Bro. Jackie Stamps. The singing was anointed by God. I had a great time preaching to some wonderful saints. I have preached the first three weekends of December and it has been at some really good churches with really good folks.
