Our message Sunday a Christ Community Church
God is so good. We had a great time yesterday at Christ Community Church. The people made us feel so at home. I preached "It's out of my hands" Exodus 4:1-5 God spoke to Moses from the burning bush. God told him he would (one day) lead the children of Israel out of slavery. Moses protested and gave God 4 reasons why he wouldn't be able to. (1)Unworthy - he was a murderer (2) Ignorant - no godly training. (3) lacked the eloquence of being able to speak. (4) no one would believe him. Basically Moses said, "IT IS OUT OF MY HANDS." Then God ask "What is in your hand?" For Moses it was his staff-just an ordinary shepherd's staff. God told him to throw it down. When Moses did, it turned into a snake. God did a lot with Moses' staff: (Moses struck the Nile river and it turned to blood) (Brought a plague of frogs out of the waters) (Struck the dust and turned them into gnats) Stretched it toward heaven to bring down fire, thunder, and hail.) (Brought a plague of locust) (Divided the Rea Sea) (Struck a rock with it and got water) (And when he held it high in the air, his warriors prevailed in battle) So I ask you the question, "What is in your hand?"
Here is a story I found:
During World War II when sugar was scarce a man went into a diner and asked for a cup of coffee. "Sugar or Cream, the waitress asked?" "Sugar, " he replied. Since the sugar was so scarce, she kept it under the counter. The man put in 2 heaping teaspoons full of sugar, tasted it and said, "I need more sugar." The waitress set the sugar back up on the counter. He put in another heaping teaspoon. Tasted it and said, "Still not sweet enough. I need a little more." Disgusted, the waitress glared at him and said, "Stir up what you've already got" Paul was reminding Timothy that the gifts God had given him were there all along and that they needed to be cultivated and developed. He had the start of faith, but he needed to stir it up and grow it into strong faith.
Conclusion:
Here is God's plan for us:
1. God asked Moses for whatever he had in his hand.
2. God pressed Moses to be obedient to His Word.
God wants the same from each of us. Simply to give it up, and be obedient to His Word.
Especially when it comes to our possessions. When we let go of our personal possessions, and throw them down, God is sure to make a miracle.
God is asking,
"What is in your hand?"

Wait Upon the Lord
But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Thanks to Everyone.
I'm finally home from Paducah. I would like to take this time to thank everyone that sent emails, text, FB messages, called and prayed. My brother Tim came through the surgery fine and is home resting. His wife Anita is taking very good care of him. The doctor did say that Wednesday would be his hardest day of soreness. Tim did say he could breath better. Again, from our family to yours thank you!

Samson Street Church of God
Preached at Samson Street Church of God tonight. Had a great service and saw the movement of God. I preached from II Kings 7:1-8 The Lepers did not know what GOD had done when they stepped out. Moving for you may be praising GOD before you see the answer. In the book of James 2:17 It talks about faith without works is DEAD! Then in Romans 8:25 But if we hope for what we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Thanks to Bro. Roger Kinslow and the church for making me feel at home. I love Samson Street Church of God. May God bless you all.
